For three weeks, every time I turned off the engine, the on-board computer would beep-beep and carefully write to me on the screen: “Battery low in your key! See your Lexus dealer for a replacement." Battery." Wow, I thought! Climb! Dropped everything, right, and ran to the dealer! H-nya, this will work for another half a life, I thought! Where does such self-confidence come from? I can't find an answer to this question... This, apparently, is deep in the subconscious and is called "mentality".

So, three weeks passed and .. one fine day .. he took the car out of the garage, turned it off, locked it with a key fob, did something in the garage for about ten minutes, closed the garage, went up to the car and ... and you! Still messed up! And the language again does not say that SUDDENLY! For three weeks I ignored the on-board computer messages, and now it happened!

I come home, find the second key and life goes on, but now I understand for sure that the second key also has a battery, and its life is not eternal. Yes, yes, yes, I understand))) we are not used to stepping on the same rake twice (mentality also affects here), so I start looking for the right battery.

So, you need a lithium battery model CR1632. For reference: this type of battery is marked according to the following principle: the first two digits are the diameter of the battery in millimeters, and the second two digits are the thickness of the battery, increased by 10 times. Those in our case CR1632 mean a battery with a diameter of 16 mm and a thickness of 3,2 mm (exactly 3,2 and not 32).

Purpose: to buy a CR1632 battery. We found that Google offers a hub. The type of battery is not very popular, so buying in the search is not an option, it is better to first make your way on the Internet, or maybe even buy in an online store. Go!

And now, what really surprised me:

1) In one of the most popular Ukrainian online stores (using the first Google link) we find: Energizer Lithium Battery CR1632 PIP-1 (7638900199741) Price: 57 hryvnia. The price seems to be adequate, since the battery does not work and the Energizer brand is quite popular.

2) For interest, let's see what else is offered on the market: Varta CR-1632 Lithium (06632101401). Price increase in stores 30-70 UAH / piece.

3) There are also rarer manufacturers: RENATA CR1632 LITHIUM 3V. Price: 28 UAH/pc.

4) I remember my local partners, companies that supply computer components and peripherals. I go to the site of one of them and see the battery model I'm interested in: Videx Excellent! CR-1632. Price on his website: 28 UAH 40 kopecks. It's great, especially since the office is local, I stay with them.

5) I remember that this office is my partner, and they send me prices every day. For the sake of interest, I look at the price list, I find this battery by article ... Price ... $ 1! (=14 UAH). Wah-ah! We accept!

6) I asked a friend from work on the way to visit the partner’s warehouse and pick up this battery for me. Came, took, brought. It happens to me .. there is no limit to my surprise .. for 1 dollar I get a blister with FIVE CR1632 batteries! The price of one battery is 20 kopecks (= UAH 2,80)! Silent…

7) Again, for the sake of interest, I go to the manufacturer's website, see what kind of .. I bought garbage. And again I was surprised by the price of this package of products - 226 UAH for a package of 5 pieces.

Conclusion: the price of such a product as batteries (and not only) on the way from the manufacturer to the store shelf is multiplied by ten. Although, who is now surprised by this?

9) The main conclusion - never ignore the recommendations of the on-board computer about the need to replace the battery! Then you will not have to get into ridiculous situations.
