Continental is expanding its range of second-generation regional tires. The new HSR2 XL front axle tyre, with an axle load of up to 10 tons, is also suitable for use in the new generation of trucks complying with Euro 6 emission standards. The successful trailer tire HTR2 will also be available in profile height 55 for load-optimized trailers

The particularly economical regional front tire HSR2 in sizes 385/65 R 22.5, 315/70 R 22.5 and 315/80 R 22.5 is joined by the latest XL version with a maximum payload of 10 tonnes per axle. The new XL tire is a response to the introduction of modern Euro 6 engines with more powerful exhaust aftertreatment systems.

Thanks to a special winding process, the HSR2 XL is particularly well suited for use in vehicles with a high center of gravity. The HSR2 XL has an impressive rigid construction, improved rolling resistance and a significantly longer life span.

The new HTR2 tire in size 385/55 R 22.5 is an updated product designed for use in load-optimized trailers and semi-trailers. Reducing the profile of the HTR2 tires to size 55 increases the overall height of the trailer by 35 millimeters. This extra cargo space gives you a real competitive edge when transporting containers and other bulky items.

When developing the new tire type, special attention was paid to transferring the advantages of the HTR family tires to the new low-profile tires.

The new HSR2 XL regional front tires are available in 385/65 R 22.5, 315/70 R 22.5 and 315/80 R 22.5. Trailer tires HTR2 for heavy loads are available in size 385/55 R 22.5.
