New MIPS System: Protect Your Brain

Designed for over 20 years, MIPS system integrated between the comfort padding and the EPS of the helmet. Its purpose is to limit the rotation of the head upon impact.

Indeed, the researchers highlighted the importance of brain damage caused by turning the head in a fall. Therefore, Professor Hans Van Holst, accompanied by the Swedish Institute of Technology Peter Halldin, developed a technology that mimics cerebrospinal fluid. BPS MIPS allows the head to move 10-15 millimeters in relation to the helmet in all directions. This reduces rotational motion by redirecting energy and forces.

New versions of the MIPS system will appear in 2021. To improve brain protection, the company has developed 5 new solutions. These new technologies are not limited to motorcycle helmets. They will also be equipped with construction, bicycle and even hockey helmets.

5 new variations

MIPS Essential can be used for all helmets (motorcycle, bicycle, work, etc.) as a base system.

MIPS Evolve also fits all helmets and guarantees comfort and ventilation.

Designed for motorcycle and sport helmets, MIPS Integra offers better ventilation and superior integration.

MIPS Air reserves sports helmets (cycling, skiing, hockey, etc.) for itself. It is the thinnest and lightest element in the range.

Finally, MIPS Elevate is a construction helmet system.

Some Alpinestars and Thor cross helmets have already integrated MIPS into their motocross helmets... The brand supplies helmets to manufacturers. Does not produce helmets.
