The latest upgrade to Cupra el-Born - ID.3

Car enthusiasts saw the concept of el-Born last spring. SEAT introduced a five-door version. But next year she will not appear. Instead, an electric version will be released. The novelty will be collected in Germany.

“I think this is a step in the right direction. El-Born has all the Seat genes. This model will bring a lot of good news for the brand.”

said the company’s director, Wayne Griffiths.

A copy of the Volkswagen ID.3 has some differences from the original. On the front there is a hood, a radiator mesh, optics and overhangs. Some elements resemble the design of the Tavascan and Formentor models. Dimensions of the electric crossover:

• Length - 4261 mm;
• Width - 1809 mm;
• Height - mm 1568;
• The center distance is 2770 mm.

 Cupra El Bourne will receive a sports suspension with electric adjustment (DCC Sport). This will allow the chassis to adapt to the road surface without driver intervention. The electric car will be based on the MEB platform.

The interior design, of course, is copied from VW ID.3 .: the multifunction steering wheel, the virtual dashboard and the 10-inch touch screen are the same. However, Cupra has sports seats trimmed with Alcantara, interior elements are emphasized by copper inserts, and the console is hidden behind a movable curtain.

El Born has the most powerful battery in the entire ID.3 line. the manufacturer promises that on one charge the car will be able to cover 500 km. The electrical system supports fast charging, thanks to which in just half an hour this distance increases by another 260 kilometers.

The power of electric motors and their number are not indicated. However, it is known that a car can accelerate to 50 km / h (a discipline invented by Chinese experts) takes 2,9 seconds. The original Volkswagen has a power of 204 hp, and has 310 Nm of torque. It accelerates to 100 km / h in 7,3 seconds.
