Renault Kadjar

The name of this car is made up of two parts. The first part of “kad” is derived from the word “quad” or otherwise off-road, all-wheel drive. The second part of “jar” comes from the French words “agile” and “jaillir”. The last two words characterize "dexterity" and "sudden appearance."

In general, Qajar is very similar to the Nissan Qashqai, in fact, to which it will compete in the market. In terms of external parameters, the difference is only in the length of the car, the Qajar will be 10-12 cm longer. The height and width, oddly enough, coincide. As for the interior, here you can similarly find quite a few similarities, for example, the climate control unit. Also on the passenger side, a handrail has been added, this part looks like a similar handrail used on the Porsche Cayenne (of a different shape), but its suitability and degree of convenience can be debated.

It is known that Renault Kadjar will be produced in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. A variator will be used in trim levels with an automatic transmission. As for what engines Renault will equip the new crossover with, there is no exact information yet, but most likely they will be engines identical to the main competitor Nissan Qashqai.
