New fine for traffic police from January 1, 2015

Along with the onset of the new 2015, all motorists are expected to change the Code of Administrative Offenses. This time the State Traffic Inspectorate informs that from January 1, 2015, the updated Technical Regulations will come into force.

This technical regulation prohibits the operation of a vehicle without an installed specialized rubber in the winter period (specialized rubber means winter tires). For this violation, the regulations provide one of two options:

• warning
• a fine of 500 rubles.

It should be noted that at the moment the issue of changing the “winter period” is being decided. But we are only talking about an increase in the term. This is due to the fact that in some regions of the Russian Federation, winter road conditions begin much earlier than December.

Already during the New Year holidays, traffic police officers will begin to pay attention to the implementation of these regulations. Therefore, if you are still using summer tires, then we advise you to buy / install a set of winter tires in order to avoid a little pleasant communication with the traffic police about this, in the form of a monetary fine.
