The new 2019.16 update will go to Tesla owners. In it: the ability to immediately download updates • CARS

The Tesla 2019.16 update has a new option. You can choose to automatically download new versions of the software as soon as they become available. Until now, it was never known when the car would receive the update - its installation could only be expedited by contacting Tesla service.

Information about a new feature in software 2019.16 has surfaced in a fake Steve Jobs / @tesla_truth account that appears to be an account that is silently managed by Tesla or Elon Musk (source). This allows us to believe that the information is true and comes first-hand.

well in Controls> Software> Software Update Settings> Advanced the ability to configure the car to automatically download updates as they appear for the selected version of the car (there are many of them). This is not the equivalent of a program Early access ("Early Access"), which allows a select group of users to receive new updates earlier, but they may contain untested functionality or cause errors.

As part of the option presented in version 2019.16, the car owner will have quick access to only the stable version of the software.

IMPORTANT. Option Advanced it is not available in earlier versions of the software, including the latest 2019.12.1.2.
