New 2019.40.1 Software Restores 170kW Charging to Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus • ELECTRIC CARS

Tesla software 2019.36.1 was the first update that allowed the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus to charge much faster. However, the update was quickly withdrawn, and with the release of 2019.36.2.1, the power remained the same - much to the dismay of many owners of the cheapest Tesla. Luckily, the 2019.40.1 update has begun to roll out.

According to a picture posted on Twitter by a Tesla Tested account (source), in the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus, the first update listed is possibility of charging up to 170 kW... The most powerful charging stations in Poland, including the Supercharger, currently offer 150 kW of power, so Model 3 SR + owners should expect that figure at best.

> KNOW. Is an! GreenWay Polska charging station available up to 150 kW

We add that this happens in the range from ten to about forty percent of the battery charge. Outside this range, the charging power drops.

In addition, the manufacturer informs better performance of automatic wiperswhich should respond more quickly to light rain and more accurately adjust the speed of work depending on the rain. Interestingly, if the driver decides to manually fix the wipers, this information will be used to train neural networks and may appear in future software updates.

The last thing seen on the screen is a more reliable lane change on the street. Tesla must act faster, be less conservative and cautious than before:
