New Year's gifts to the driver - what to choose? (PHOTOS)
Instead of another pair of socks or gloves, car enthusiasts will be more pleased with a miniature Ferrari or a set of useful winter car cosmetics. We checked out what drivers would like to find under the tree this year.
– The closer to Christmas, the greater the attendance of the store. But this time, the buyers are not drivers, but their relatives who are looking for gifts for them. The possibilities are endless: from decorative items, details to useful accessories and cosmetics. The choice depends primarily on the taste, needs and wealth of the buyer, says Andrzej Szczepanski, owner of the Auto-Sklep car shop in Rzeszow.

Trends change almost every year. If three or four years ago colored neon lights, LED strips and other luminous accessories reigned supreme, today drivers prefer more subdued elements that delicately emphasize the character of the car. According to Szczepanski, this is why, for example, elegant leather shift knobs are sold more often than bright LED interior lighting. Useful, though not always effective, gifts are invariably very popular.
- A brush for sweeping the body from snow is useful for everyone. For example, a charger or connecting cables. That is why interest in such gifts does not decrease, - the owner of the store convinces.
Prices for such gifts in car shops start from a dozen zlotys. A straightener can be bought for about PLN 60-70, but the best models cost twice as much.

Leather gear knobs are the most popular choice among interior elements. Prices for aesthetically designed branded items start at around PLN 50. In turn, for the upholstery of the steering wheel made of genuine leather, you need to pay 100 zł. A set of covers costs about PLN 150 for a small car and about PLN 250-400 for a large one with airbags and armrests. Caps are an interesting offer, especially for the autumn-winter season. While the prices for original ones reach PLN 100-150 a piece, a set of quality replacements can be bought for about PLN 80-100.
– Patterns and colors are different. This season the most fashionable are black, black and silver caps. Most models have a tight fit. You can buy stickers for everyone - emblems with the make of the car they're going to be on, Szczepanski says.

A car model can also be an interesting idea. The smallest, made in 1:64 scale, can be bought for about PLN 14-18. Many of them are exact reflections of the prototypes. The largest 1:18 scale models offer the most intricate details. The most popular manufacturers on the market are Burago and Maisto. For about PLN 90 we get a car with an opening door, tailgate and hood, under which you can see a miniature of the engine. We turn the wheels by turning the steering wheel. This gift is sure to please every car enthusiast.

Music lovers will certainly need new speakers or a radio that can now combine the advantages of a DVD player, satellite navigation and even serve as a rear-view camera screen. A set of popular 2 + 2 speakers (tweeters and mid-woofers) costs at least PLN 250-300. For a multimedia station with a color display, you will have to pay about PLN 1500. Due to the higher prices of such gifts, it is worthwhile to reserve the right to return before purchase, in case they do not meet the expectations of the recipient.
