The new Opel model owners can then create their account on the myOpel customer portal and activate the services in the OpelConnect online store. All three platforms have the same login information.

Standard services - safety, comfort and intelligence

The following free services are standard on OpelConnect:

• eCall: if airbags or seat belt pretensioners are triggered in the event of an accident, the system automatically makes an emergency call to a local public safety point (PSAP). If no response is received from the driver or passengers in the vehicle, the emergency services (PSAP) send the details of the incident to the emergency services, including the time of the incident, the exact location of the wrecked vehicle and its direction of movement. An emergency call can also be activated manually by pressing and holding the red SOS button on the ceiling above the mirror for more than two seconds.

• Traffic accident: connects with Opel Mobility and Roadside Assistance. At the request of the client, the system can automatically send important information, such as data on the location of the car, diagnostic data, the exact time of the damage, data on the temperature of the coolant and engine oil, as well as service alerts.

• Vehicle condition and information services: drivers can get information about the technical condition of their car through the myOpel application. Depending on the model, this data may include mileage, average fuel consumption, service intervals and oil and other fluid changes, as well as a reminder of the approaching next scheduled maintenance. OpelConnect add-on services – more convenience for mobility and benefits for large fleets

The OpelConnect and Free2Move range offer additional chargeable services upon customer request and subject to availability in individual countries. These range from Charge my Car with route planning and a map to EV charging stations, to dedicated services for business customers. Charge My Car provides easy access to thousands of charging stations across Europe through the Free2Move smartphone app. To make it even easier for customers to choose the most suitable charging station, Free2Move pre-selects based on the distance to the charging station, charging speed and charging prices of available public stations.

Business customers and managers of large fleets can take advantage of special opportunities and opportunities for servicing the fleet. In this regard, the range includes various packages of paid services that provide an analysis of fuel consumption and driving style or transmit real-time warning signals given in the car and information about upcoming visits on a schedule. In the coming months, the range of OpelConnect services will be continuously and consistently expanded. Many functions of the car can be controlled remotely using the myOpel smartphone application. For example, owners of Opel models will be able to lock or unlock their car through the application, and if they forget where they parked in a large parking lot, they can turn on the beep and lights through the myOpel application and immediately detect it.

Another convenience is coming soon - if the car is equipped with a keyless entry and start system, including a digital key, for example, the car can be shared with other family members. Through his smartphone, the owner can allow access to the car to a maximum of five people.
