New Mio DVRs. Three devices at a reasonable price

Mio introduces 3 new compact in-vehicle cameras from the popular "C" series. This part of the brand's offering has gained popularity mainly due to its affordable price and image quality, which allows you to use recordings when necessary. The brand portfolio was replenished with the following models: C312, C540 and C570. The new cameras will definitely stand out with their characteristics on the mid-price shelf, which should help popularize dash cams on Polish roads.

MiVue C570 sets a whole new level on the average-sized price shelf. Until now, this technical specification has only been available in flagship car camera models. The main component that will set this camera apart from competitors in the same price range is Sony's high-quality premium sensor with Sony STARVIS technology, designed for night shooting. The matrix provides detailed recording, good contrast and rich colors in low light. The device is equipped with F1.8 multi-lens glass optics, which provides very good image quality. Another advantage of the MiVue C570 model is the built-in GPS module, thanks to which the device turns into an “on-board computer” and collects much more information than just the image from the camera. Thanks to the metadata collected during each trip, we can easily link our records to specific times and even geographic coordinates.

It's worth adding that a metadata entry does not need to appear on the entry. The user himself decides whether there will be additional data in the movie or not. This may seem like background data if we have a crystal clear picture, but many cases have shown that it was this data that ended the battles with insurers or the compensation court. The GPS module also warns about speed cameras. When you buy the MiVue C570 model, you get access to their updated database of speed checkpoints. MiVue C570 works with Mio A30 rear cameras and Smartbox solutions. After adding the Smartbox to our device, we launch an intelligent parking mode that works with a 3-axis G-sensor. This model also features a real field of view, which is as much as 150°.

MiVue C540 this is a device that can be safely called the younger brother of the popular MiVue C320 model in Poland. On board the dash cam we find a Sony optical sensor and a wide-angle lens with a real recording angle of 130° to record Full HD 1080p images at 30 frames per second. The MiVue C540 has bright glass optics with an F1.8 aperture that allows much more light to enter the sensor, which guarantees very good recording quality, especially in low light. The device works with the rear cameras of the A30, which allows us to record everything that happens in front of and behind our car. The device also works with the Smartbox solution, thanks to which we can activate Mio's smart parking mode.

The recommended price of a new DVR is 349 zł.

MiVue C312 is a cheaper solution for people who don't want to spend a lot of money on this type of device, but appreciate the benefits of having a DVR.

The device has a 2-inch display with an intuitive menu. The buttons of the DVR are not pre-set by the manufacturer, their meaning changes depending on the options displayed on the screen with the menu in Polish. This allows for very intuitive handling, which is critical for many drivers. The actual camera angle is 130°, which ensures that we capture the details that are most important to us in the event of a traffic accident. MiVue C312 records Full HD 1080p at 30fps.
