New UK gasoline

The UK Transport Department has announced its serious intention to introduce the new E5 fuel to replace E10 gasoline. The difference lies in the bioethanol content. In fuel E5, the concentration of this substance is much lower - by 5%. Today, this particular gasoline is widely distributed in the United Kingdom and in the future will only be presented in a highly active form. It is similar to our 98 gasoline.

This is both good news and sad news at the same time, as approximately 1 million UK cars will not be able to use this fuel to drive their cars. ICEs of 2011 release will be able to burn E5 without any problems, but those that were released earlier may fall into a risk group.

Fuel hazard

Gasoline has an increased leaching property. This affects layering in older powertrains. As a result, all fuel systems can become clogged. This biofuel is more aggressive, as it more actively goes into reaction with certain substances. It is for this reason that it is dangerous to use it, because it can corrode seals, plastic and even metal.

An interesting fact is that the government does not hide the dangers of using this gasoline by motorists. This is spelled out in the relevant documentation. Moreover, the country's leadership, to be honest, does not recommend using this E5 fuel for more than 1 million registered vehicles of the United Kingdom. Although with all this, it is predicted that by 2021, 98% of UK cars will run on this gasoline. The transition from one type of fuel to another will entail the elimination of 350 thousand cars from the roads.

A huge advantage of E5 gasoline is that when it is burned, as much as 2% less carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere. The ecology is protected, even when actively driving your favorite car. Environmental protection is the main reason for the transition from E10 to E5 across the UK.
