New Fiat Tipo. Will it depreciate quickly?

The new compact sedan from Fiat has made a splash on the Polish market. Prior to the car's official debut, dealers had already collected 1200 orders. Tipo convinced buyers with a favorable price-quality ratio. How will the loss of value occur?

Sort of back on the market. Why was the historical name used? According to representatives of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, this short and catchy name is just in time for a hit car. And this new type will be a hit, they are sure, counting the flow of orders and seeing the interest of dealers. The sedan does have the makings of a success, as you can see when you compare the price with this car's utility and aesthetics. The first evidence is already Tipo wins Autobest 2016 title, a prestigious automotive market award given by a journalistic jury from 26 countries.

Tipo is attractive in the first place. It has characteristic details and very good proportions. The car was designed from the very beginning as a sedan, which avoided stylistic compromises that are usually unpleasant to the eye. The result is a smooth body line, providing a favorable coefficient of aerodynamic drag (0,29), which is so important for reducing fuel consumption and damping the cabin. Tipo, which differs both in the shape of the body and in specific elements, cannot be confused with any other car. In modern automotive realities, this is a big advantage.

The cheapest Tipo with a 95 hp 1.4 petrol engine. costs only PLN 42. This is a good price, even if you take into account the elegance of the body, the quality of the finish, the usefulness and the behavior on the road. When we add standard equipment, including but not limited to front airbags, ESC stabilization system, rollover protection system, traction control, emergency braking system, hill start assist system, manual air conditioning, central locking with remote control in the key, with power windows in the front doors, power steering, adjustable in two planes steering column and radio with AUX and USB inputs, this price can be considered attractive.

When buying a car, you should pay attention not only to the initial price. The rate of loss of value is extremely important and determines how much money can be recovered when a car is resold.
