The new Golf has been awarded the maximum number of stars - five for the protection of passengers in frontal and side impacts. It also received four stars for child safety and three stars for pedestrian safety.
The Golf's success is due to its extremely rigid interior and extremely effective passive safety systems, including seat belts and airbags. The maximum protection of the transported children is guaranteed by the attachment of the Isofix child seat with an additional top belt (Top Tether). In the event of a collision with a pedestrian, the flexible crumple zones at the front of the vehicle and the additional cross member in the bumper significantly reduce the risk of serious injury to the pedestrian.
The result of the Golf deserves even more attention, since today even cars of higher and more expensive classes cannot boast 12 stars.
