Assembly of the new Opel Astra has begun at the Rüsselsheim plant in Germany. To date, about 500 units of the new model have been produced.
The new Astra is based on the third-generation EMP2 multi-drive platform. The car has a length of 4374 1860 mm and a width of 4 13 mm. It is only 2675 mm longer than the previous model. The wheelbase has increased by XNUMX mm to XNUMX mm. The design with the Vizor motif and the optional two-tone case draws attention.
Prices start at PLN 82 (900 Turbo petrol engine with 1.2 hp).
Opel Astra VI. What engines to choose?
For the first time, a compact class model from Rüsselsheim is available with electric drive. Opel will offer the new Astra as a plug-in hybrid in two performance versions, and from 2023 also as an all-electric Astra. In addition, versions are available with fuel-efficient petrol and diesel engines, as well as low-friction transmissions: a six-speed manual gearbox and an eight-speed automatic. The power of the individual drive versions varies from 81 kW/110 hp to 165 hp. up to 225 kW/XNUMX hp (total power of the system).

Astra can "turn night into day" - the latest evolution of adaptation Intelli-Lux LED Pixel Reflectors comes straight from Opel's flagship Insignia, while the 168 LED elements ensure a leading position in the compact and mid-size car segment.
via fully digital Pure Panel analog indicators are a thing of the past. They are being replaced by a new HMI with fresh modern graphics, offering customers a clear and intuitive interface. The driver and passengers can intuitively control the new Astra using wide touch screens, just like on a smartphone. In addition, the most important settings, including the operation of the air conditioner, can still be adjusted using physical switches and buttons.

The front seats, developed by the brand itself, are certified. EGR (Healthy Back Campaign – German campaign for a healthy back). The driver is supported by the latest systems: from head-up display to the semi-automatic assistance system Intelli Drive 2.0 (integration of all onboard cameras and sensors with the ability to connect to the electronic horizon) and cameras Intelli-Vision 360 degrees.
The steering, suspension and chassis - with McPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear - are designed to minimize body roll (damping movement around the horizontal axis).
