Many different types have come on the market over the years, including the popular Rotary Mop. Should I choose, and if so, which rotary mop should I choose?
Rotary mop - how does it differ from a classic string-based mop?
A traditional mop differs from a rotating mop head, which is made from braided threads or strips of material. A slightly more modern version is a flat mop in the shape of an oblong narrow rectangle. However, the biggest difference is that it requires manual squeezing of water.
An alternative to the traditional mop is the rotary mop, also known as the rotary mop. In practice, these are buckets equipped with a rotating mechanism, for example, like Vileda mops. The end of the squeegee is placed in the basket of the bucket and then the pedal is pressed to make it move.
There are also mechanisms without a pedal. In their case, it is enough to press the tip of the mop on the basket so that it starts to rotate, as is the case with Teesa mops.

Similar to the classic model, with braided strings, but in rotary mops they are shorter, lighter and spread evenly across the floor, forming a perfect circle. - Flat rotating mop

Is it worth getting a rotary mop?
Looking at the prices, it is easy to conclude that professional rotary mops are more expensive than traditional mops with a hand-extruded insert. So is it worth choosing such a solution? Let's take a closer look at the pros and cons of a rotating mop.
The biggest advantages and disadvantages of rotary mops
The advantage of a rotary mop is that it removes excess moisture from the cleaning head very quickly and conveniently. You do not need to get your hands wet and drain the tips by hand. Moreover, the material is always imprinted to the right extent. As a result, the washed floor dries faster. Round models have the added benefit of not having to be folded in order to rinse out the material.
The disadvantage of the rotary mop is the relatively high price. The cheapest equipment costs around PLN 100, while the most expensive can cost over PLN 500.
Which rotary mop to choose?
When considering which rotary squeegee to choose, it's worth first comparing the round and flat models. The latter very well collects dust from under low furniture, gets into narrow cracks and corners due to the rectangular shape of the tip. An additional advantage is the simultaneous cleaning of a large area, so a flat rotary mop is ideal, especially for large rooms.
On the other hand, the round mop offers a very wide range of motion as it is divided into dozens of individual strands or strips. Thus, it sweeps dirt from hard-to-reach places very well, and the round microfiber cloth does not leave streaks.
Another question will be the choice between a rotary mop with a pedal or a version without it. It is also worth checking the diameter or length and width of the mop. The larger the room, the larger the cleaning tip should be in order to clean as quickly as possible. We also recommend checking the bucket capacity. Replacement cartridges are also often included.
