The holidays are over. Our caravans, which we used during the summer months, must be parked. However, how to make the caravan ready for operation in 10 months.

Sheet metal trailers must be thoroughly washed and waxed. Resin and resin deposits are best removed with kerosene or industrial alcohol. If the housing is made of plastic, these steps can be performed with car shampoo and plenty of water. If we notice scratches or scuffs on the case, we can remove them ourselves. It is enough to thoroughly degrease the place and paint the damaged surface with polyurethane enamel. When we notice cracks, we must prepare for a slightly more complex operation. From inside the trailer, on the cracked car body, we have to put three layers of glass wool weighing 300 g/cm2 and soak them in succession with resin. When it hardens, putty the crack, clean it with sandpaper and paint.

During long stops, there is no need to cover the trailer with a cover or plastic wrap. However, it is worth raising the trailer on supports so high that the wheels do not touch the ground. Thus, we will prevent tire deformation. Removing the wheel is practiced more because of the activity of lovers of other people's property than because of a real need. If we decide to remove the wheels, then we do not cover the brake drums with a film. This prevents the free flow of air.

If after a few months we have to move the trailer, check the bearing clearance, the condition of the inertial device and the bolting. These are the places that most often break during a long stop.
