71 Holden Colorado Z2020 Review: Snapshot

The Z71 is the biggest boy in the Colorado lineup, with the most expensive price tag (4X4 Crew Cab Pick-Up, $54,990 for a person or $57,190 for a car), yet it comes with the biggest kit.

For the money, you get a padded tailgate, 18-inch Arsenal Gray alloy wheels, a new Sailplane sport bar and side rails, gloss black exterior door handles, mirrors and a tailgate handle. You also get some styling touches like fender flares, a new front fascia, roof rails, hood decals and underbody protection. There's also an 8.0-inch touchscreen with standard navigation and a seven-speaker stereo, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, and heated leather seats up front.

A 2.8-litre Duramax turbodiesel with 147kW and 500Nm delivers power when paired with a six-speed automatic or manual transmission (440Nm manual).

Holden's Colorado has a five-star ANCAP rating across the entire range, with a full score in 2016. Safety consists of seven airbags, rear sensors, a reversing camera and hill descent control system, and the usual traction seat. and braking aids. But spending big on the Z71 also unlocks an extra kit, including front sensors, forward collision warning (but not AEB, which is offered across the entire Ranger line), lane departure warning, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
