2022 LDV T-60 Max Review

The diesel-only five-seater MY18 LDV T60 is available in one body style - double cab - and in two trim levels: Pro, designed for traditionalists, and Luxe, designed for the dual-use or family vacation market. 

Four options have been available since launch: Pro Manual Transmission, Pro Automatic Transmission, Luxe Manual Transmission, and Luxe Automatic Transmission - all manual and automatic transmissions have been six-speed. 

The MY18 TD60 is powered by a 2.8L common rail turbodiesel engine.

It is also available in a Mega Tub version based on the T60 Luxe double cab variant. The Mega Tub's tray is 275mm longer than its unstretched brethren, and as such offers about the same tray length as the space cab, but in a double cab.

Standard ute features on the Pro version include cloth seats, 10.0-inch color touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, auto-height headlights, high and low range all-wheel drive, 4-inch alloy wheels with full-size spare tire . , side steps and roof rails.

Since launch, protective gear has included six airbags, two ISOFIX child seat anchor points in the rear seat, recovery points, and a host of passive and active safety technologies including ABS, EBA, ESC, a rearview camera and rear parking sensors. "Hill Descent Control", "Hill Start Assist" and tire pressure monitoring system.

In addition, the top-of-the-line Luxe gets leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated six-way power front seats, automatic climate control and a Smart Key system with start/stop function, and an automatic locking rear differential. (diff lock) as standard.

The Pro has a headboard with multiple bars to protect the rear window; the Luxe has a polished chrome sport bar. Both models have roof rails as standard.

The Trailrider 2 auto's list of standard features includes a 10.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay (but not Android Auto), 19-inch black alloy wheels, selectable all-wheel drive, on-demand rear differential lock, rear parking sensors, reverse. camera and 360 degree camera. 

It also received a kickstand, black alloy wheels, side steps, roof rails, a sports bar, and a Trailrider logo on the tailgate.

It doesn't have front parking sensors, adaptive cruise control or AEB.

The new MY22 LDV T60 Max Luxe, the most recent of our LDV T60 tests, has a list of standard features that includes a 10.25-inch multimedia touchscreen (with Apple CarPlay or Bluetooth smartphone connectivity), six-way electronically adjustable leather seats . (in Luxe), LED daytime running lights, rear parking sensors, 360-degree panoramic camera view, lane departure warning and rear differential lock.
