The Monte Carlo sits above the entry level in the Skoda Kamiq lineup with a starting price of $34,190.
The Monte Carlo comes standard with 18-inch rear alloy wheels, LED headlights, Monte Carlo sports seats and tinted mirrors, grille, rear decals and a rear diffuser. There's also a panoramic glass roof, sports pedals, adaptive LED headlights, multiple driving modes, and a sports suspension.
This is in addition to all the entry-level equipment such as: privacy glass, digital instrument cluster, 8.0-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, proximity key, automatic tailgate , flat-bottomed steering wheel, eight-speaker stereo system, reversing camera and adaptive cruise control.
The Monte Carlo is equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 110kW and 250Nm.
Kamiq has received the maximum five-star ANCAP safety rating under 2019 regulations.
All trims come standard with seven airbags, AEB with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, rear maneuver braking, rear parking sensors and a rearview camera.
