Review of SsangYong Tivoli XLV 2019: snapshot

According to SsangYong, the XLV is Tivoli's "extended body model". It wasn't available to drive at launch, but the latest XLV spec is expected to hit the media test fleet in early 2019. 

The XLV will be available in ELX trim ($31,990 Exit) with the same specification level as the Tivoli ELX and only as 2WD: the next step is AWD Ultimate at $34,990 (Exit Price) or spend another $500. and get the two-tone all-wheel drive version of the Ultimate ($35,490K). All XLVs are equipped with a 6 Euro compliant diesel engine and an Aisin six-speed automatic transmission. 

Every Tivoli XLV comes standard with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), rearview camera and seven airbags.

The ELX also gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel, telescoping steering, front and rear parking assist, lane departure warning (LDW), lane keep assist (LKA), high beam assist (HBA), roof rails on the roof, trunk screen, dual-zone air conditioning, tinted windows, xenon headlights and 16-inch alloy wheels.

In addition, Ultimate versions also get all-wheel drive, leather seats, power/heated/ventilated front seats, a sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a full-size spare tire. The Ultimate 2-Tone is getting a two-tone color package.

Safety gear includes seven airbags, AEB and Forward Collision Warning (FCW). Tivoli does not have an ANCAP rating because it has not yet been tested here.

Every Tivoli comes with a seven-year unlimited mileage warranty, seven-year roadside assistance and a seven-year service plan.
