Clear drains

There are places in the car where water can get in and just as easy to get out of there, unless unnecessary traffic jams stop it.

A perfect example is the side door of a car. The windshield in them is sealed from below on both sides, but this is not a perfect dam and water can cross it. The designers took this into account and equipped the door with drainage holes. The problem, however, is that in addition to water, small contaminants enter the door. Unlike water, they do not exit completely through the drain holes, but settle on internal surfaces. Dirt and moisture form deposits, which after a while can close the drains located at the bottom of the door. From now on, there will only be more dirt and water inside the door. These are ideal conditions for the development of corrosion. Of course, this will not happen immediately, because the internal surfaces of the door can be well protected from corrosion, but over time, even the best protection will give you a win. On the other hand, if the door was previously repaired and was only partially stripped of its internal factory coating, the anti-corrosion coating will appear much faster. If it is not stopped in time, in a short time it will cause such chaos that the door will only be suitable for replacement.

To prevent this from happening, you need to systematically check the drainage holes in the door with a thin wooden stick or a piece of relatively thick but soft wire. Every few years it is worth shooting the so-called. side panels and thoroughly clean the inside of the door. It is also an opportunity to remove any corrosion points seen there.
