 driving glasses

Be sure to indicate at the beginning of the visit to the doctor that you drive a car, then the doctor will select the correct corrective lenses for you. However, the correction itself is not enough. You should also protect your eyes from the sun. To do this, you will need good quality sunglasses (this also applies to drivers who do not have vision problems). They will provide you not only comfort, but also safety on the road.

A few "commandments"

1. Only buy glasses that are made by a good company and have the right sunscreen. Remember that the price of glasses reflects their quality. Avoid market rubbish. These types of products do not have UV filters and may even be harmful to the eyes. Their lenses are made of low-quality material, which negatively affects not only the comfort of vision, but also your health.

2. You can't drive in sunglasses. Some lenses obscure your vision. Good branded glasses are often accompanied by flyers in Polish commenting on the lenses and whether they can be used for driving. If this information is not available, talk to your ophthalmologist about it. Very dark lenses should not be used for daytime driving.

3. When choosing lenses, make sure they render colors well. Some lenses with intense colors such as red, green or blue can distort the perception of colors (eg traffic lights).

4. You should not feel properly fitted glasses on your face. If they are uncomfortable, do not count on habituation, but inform your ophthalmologist or optometrist as soon as possible.

5. At night and in the evening, use colorless glasses with anti-reflective coating.

6. Wear sunglasses in winter, when the rays reflected from the snow hurt your eyes. Keep this in mind, especially if you are a sensitive person and your eyes are very sensitive to the sun.

7. If you wear corrective lenses on a daily basis, photochromic lenses are the best solution for you - lenses that adjust to the intensity of light (depending on the light, they darken or brighten). So you get prescription glasses and sunglasses in one. Remember that they need to be replaced about once every three years.

8. You can also choose corrective glasses that allow you to wear a special nozzle - sunglasses. Modern products of this type hold the cap with a magnet.

9. Choose thin and light eyeglass lenses whenever possible. They will improve not only the comfort of wearing glasses, but also the quality of vision.
