Official: Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70

Following the introduction of the first Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70 images in October last year, the Dutch manufacturer officially unveiled this limited edition designed in honor of its founder Joop Donkervoort, thus marking its 70th anniversary.

The limited edition Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70 is first and foremost the most powerful D8 GTO Donkervoort has built to date, and the manufacturer has no hesitation in calling it the world's first supercar to break the 2G barrier.

To achieve this result, Donkervoort has optimized the power of its 2,5-liter 5-cylinder turbocharged engine, which develops 415 hp. and 520 Nm of torque here, and to which are added a five-speed gearbox, a limited slip differential and a completely modified exhaust system.

The car’s limited weight (680 kg), thanks to the widespread use of Ex-Core carbon (95% of the body is made of carbon), its modified aerodynamics (redone nose and perforated front wings), as well as its Nankang AR-1 tires. Among the components that are included in this limited edition, there is also a Wide-Track suspension system, traction control and Tarox six-piston brake calipers (power steering is one of the options).

All this equipment will allow the D8 GTO-JD70 to demonstrate maximum efficiency: it takes only 0 seconds to accelerate from 200 to 8 km / h, after bailout from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2,7 seconds.
