However, even without dismantling the door, some malfunctions can be avoided, since they arise due to the high resistance caused by the movement of the glass in the seals. There is a very simple, effective and inexpensive advice for this. It is enough from time to time to lubricate the seals in which the glass moves (with silicone). This should be done at least twice a year, especially before the winter season, so that the glass does not freeze to the seal. Lack of lubrication can cause the glass to “stick” to the gasket, and then failure will inevitably occur. And the weakest part will be damaged.

Be careful with the service

If the control is manual, we can control the force applied to the handle. However, with electrical control, the motor may be damaged if the switch fails to operate. Power windows load. If there is an electric control and the glass has not been used for a long time or the temperature is negative, do not use the auto function, immediately lowering the glass, but first briefly press the button and see what happens. happening. If the glass goes down without resistance, you can start the car, and when you press the glass does not move or some kind of crack is heard, stop lowering and go to the service. Subsequent attempts to lower the window can only increase the cost of the repair.
