SKYACTIV-R rotary engine concept model designed for Gran Turismo Sport simulator
Mazda showed the RX-Vision GT3 racing sports car on video. The concept was developed specifically for the Gran Turismo Sport racing simulator. The new generation SKYACTIV-R receives a rotary engine.
The appearance of the new model is similar to the civil concept of RX-Vision. The car receives a long hood, spoiler, sports exhaust system and a curved roof line. You can choose a car when it becomes part of the race after the Gran Turismo Sport update.
Previously, information has repeatedly appeared that Mazda will release a serial version of the RX-Vision. The coupe was planned to be equipped with a new rotary engine with a capacity of about 450 hp. Later, however, information appeared that the rotary engine can only be used in the future in hybrid systems, where it will work in combination with an electric motor.
Mazda is not the first car manufacturer to develop a computer supercar for Gran Turismo Sport. Last year, Lamborghini unveiled a "computer" supercar called the V12 Vision Gran Turismo, which the company called "the best virtual car in the world." Virtual sports cars from Jaguar, Audi, Peugeot and Honda have also been on display at various times.
