They will last 500 miles. km or more. Cars under 10 PLN 1 [part]

We are starting a big review of used cars still available on the market where high mileage is not a big issue. These are models that are extremely durable or so cheap and easy to repair that they can be "freshened" almost indefinitely and can be ridden. In this huge list, divided into several parts, I present car models that will last at least 500 10 years. km run. Let's start with the cheapest ones, already available up to the amount. zloty

How are they characterized cars with high mileage, which can be recommended for purchase? First, they are very durable, but they can also be built in such a way that the replacement of key components - not just consumables - is so cheap that the car can be easily restored for further use. They also have other features, such as a sufficiently high corrosion resistance of the chassis (the body is easily repaired), fairly simple electronics that do not fail, expensive, durable components of the power unit, a relatively slowly aging interior, sufficient cost for this class. the next owner wants to refurbish them and keep using them. Even in the absence of the last sign, many Italian and French cars, as well as some Fords, do not belong to the group of models that are worth buying due to high mileage.

I would also like to note that this large review of high mileage cars includes not only cars that are highly durable, but also those that worth it, but you can buy it on the secondary market and there are plenty to choose from. Additionally, I chose relatively modern cars equipped with at least one airbag and an ABS system.

The most durable cars up to PLN 10 1 [part]

Alfa Romeo 156 – one might ask: what is 156 doing here? Let me explain. With such frequent malfunctions as this model, the owners kept them in order for the first 10 years. Today it is not only quite cheap to maintain, but also to repair. Its chassis doesn't rust as much in critical areas as the 159. With a JTD engine running under the hood, especially a 120-horsepower 1.9, the car will last as long as its floor and body can support it. Gasoline pumps have absolutely no such durability and are best avoided. If you are looking for the best performance, choose the 2.4 JTD or 1.9 JTD setting. I especially recommend models after facelift.

Audi A3 (8L) - an indestructible model, since it is based on the same design as the VW Golf IV, Seat Leon I or Skoda Octavia I. Popular, well-known engines are the key to success. Another simple technique. The most durable versions are 1.9 TDI and 1.8 petrol engines (ideal for LPG). Mileage is well tolerated not only by automatic transmissions, but also by the engines associated with them. The 2.3 VR5 petrol unit also has good durability, although it is more expensive to maintain.

Audi 80 (B4) - maybe this is not a modern car, but restyled models already have good enough equipment and you can safely drive them every day. If no one has used LPG with gasoline, they don't break. The 1.9 TDI unit is no less armored and does not need to be advertised. This machine is not for years, but for centuries. Of course, provided that its old-school character will suit your needs.

Audi A4 (B5) - another armored car from Audi, although it is famous for its “paper” aluminum front suspension. Its problem is not even the durability of the rocker arms, but the fact that the bushings and pins cannot be replaced. But if other models of this class had such problems ... Meanwhile, durable gasoline engines work under the hood (especially successful 1.8, also turbocharged) and immortal 1.9 TDI diesels. Interestingly, a defective 2.5 TDI also makes huge runs, but what the mechanics did is another matter.

Audi A6 (C5) - This is a larger analogue of the A4 B5 - just as successful, cheap to maintain and durable. Most of them have the same diesels (especially the 1.9 TDI), but larger petrol engines, mostly V6. The latter are extremely durable, although more expensive to maintain than a simple 1.8. However, the A6 is a car for which 400 2.5 km is a second life. Even if there is a defective TDI running under the hood, although this is becoming less and less common.
