dangerous glow

dangerous glow Dazzling glare can be a direct cause of danger on the road both day and night. The response of drivers, while often the result of individual circumstances, can also depend on gender and age.

dangerous glow Good visibility is one of the main factors affecting driving safety. Studies show that men over 45 and women over 35 may be particularly sensitive to the bright light of the sun or the light of other vehicles.

With age, the driver's vision deteriorates and the likelihood of blindness increases. The sun's rays are not conducive to safe driving, especially in the morning and afternoon when the sun is low on the horizon. An additional factor influencing the risk of accidents during this time is the increase in traffic caused by leaving and returning from work and the associated rush. The blinding glare of the sun can make it impossible to see, for example, a passer-by or a turning car, says Zbigniew Veseli, director of the Renault driving school. Not only driving against the sun is dangerous, but also the rays glowing behind the car, which make it difficult to see the changing colors of traffic lights.

When driving under the harsh rays of the sun, it is recommended, first of all, to be careful, reduce speed, but also keep the ride as smooth as possible. A sudden braking maneuver may not be noticed by the vehicle behind, which increases the risk of a collision. This is especially dangerous on highways or highways, experts warn.

Dazzling by the headlights of other cars at night is also dangerous. Briefly intense light directed directly into the driver's eyes can even lead to temporary complete loss of vision. To make it easier for themselves and others to travel outside built-up areas, drivers should remember to turn off their high beams or "high beams" when they see another vehicle. The rear fog lamps, which are very obstructive to the driver from behind, can only be used when visibility is less than 50 meters. Otherwise, they should be disabled.
