The Opel Rocks-e, a lightweight electric quad bike, has just hit the manufacturer's German site. The car does not have a price yet, but judging by the current PSA/Stellantis Group pricing strategy, it will be offered slightly more expensive than the prototype Citroen Ami. It is possible that in the future it will also enter Poland.

Opel Rocks-e Vel Citroen Ami

About a week ago, we reported that Citroen unexpectedly changed its plans to bring the Ami to the German market. Now the situation seems to have cleared up: Opel Rocks-e was supposed to arrive there first. The car is a lightweight quad, and the biggest difference from the Ami seems to be the more prominent embossing on the bumper and badge, which, mind you, is not a sticker but a piece of plastic. All this adds up to about 0,17 euros to the production cost of the car.

Opel also boasts other hubcaps, but in reality it's just Citroen Ami with a different designation. What is his car two places, driver's license required in Poland at least category AM (from 14 years old), has 6 kW (8 HP) power, Batteries capacity 5,5 kWh and offers up to approx. 70-75 kilometers range on one charge. So you should look at it more as an analogue of a bicycle or moped, or as a replacement for a scooter in bad weather, and not as a full-fledged car.

The Ami's biggest advantage in the countries where it is offered is the ATV's low operating costs. By paying the equivalent of less than PLN 14, you can use it by paying the equivalent 91 PLN per month. The first amount may cause a smile of pity (“For that kind of money I can buy golf with a mileage of 150 91, go to church”), but 150 złoty per month is about the cost of a monthly ticket. Even after adding energy, we should not exceed PLN 180-20 and we get freedom of movement and the ability to travel up to 30-XNUMX kilometers one way.

Prices for Opel Rocks in Germany have not yet been announced.
