In addition, it is no longer necessary to read the oil level with a dipstick, as was the case until now. The new Bosch multifunctional oil sensor detects the actual oil level, oil viscosity, temperature and electrical parameters. Bosch plans to begin factory assembly of this sensor in 2003.
