The law amending the Income Tax Law for Individuals and Legal Entities was published in the Law Gazette. It enters into force on the 15th day from the date of publication, that is, February 20 - perhaps we have just learned the date for the announcement of applications for subsidies.
Electric vehicle surcharges and income tax
We have discussed this topic many times, but let me remind you: the Income Tax Act amendment means that subsidies for electric vehicles - and more broadly: all subsidies from the Low Emissions Transportation Fund - are not considered income. Therefore, they do not need to pay income tax (source).
The law comes into force on the 15th day after its publication, that is, then, on February 20, a call for proposals may be announced. Well, the call for applications could also be announced on February 19 so that the grant can be applied for right away. Why? Who will announce the call for proposals? This will be the National Endowment for the Environment and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), so it is worth keeping an eye on its website HERE for information on how to start accepting applications.
What about subsidies for companies? No call for proposals will be announced yet, as the regulation is awaiting approval by the European Commission:
