For such a unique model, its manufacturer has chosen a proprietary spark plug MR8AP8HJS.
y NGK, which is already proven in the Ferrari V8 engine for the F458 Italia and the V12-powered F12 Berlinetta. The HEX 16 plug has a long 22mm M10 thread that was developed specifically for Ferrari engines to match the manufacturer's complex combustion chamber design.
The MR8AP8HJS spark plug features a double ground electrode and a laser-welded platinum ring. The use of noble material gives this candle the highest resistance to possible erosion resulting from extremely high temperatures or pressures.
In addition, this plug also serves as an engine knock sensor. This is possible due to the fact that the central electrode of the candle is connected to an independent ion flow control unit between the electrodes.
