Tools for repairing electricians in cars

Often, all service stations in their arsenal have tools that are aimed at dismantling or installing certain elements of a car. If a car repair shop specializes in electrical repair, then you cannot do without certain tools.

Hand tools

  • Pliers for stripping wires and terminals - these pincers are designed to work with electric cables. Special peeling threads and wire cuts are equipped with nozzles.
  • Electric scissors - These are scissors whose handle is made of insulating materials. They have a cutting zone, like all ordinary scissors and a recess in the lower part for stripping wires of different sections.

Power tools

  • Electric soldering iron: Used to weld cables and other components with tin.
  • Digital multimeter: Measures voltage, current, and resistance. However, modern manufacturers do not stop there, but add to the set of functions, such as measuring capacitors, current frequency, diode continuity (measuring voltage drop at the pn junction), sound probe, temperature measurement, measuring some parameters of transistors, built-in low-frequency generator and much more. With this set of functions of a modern multimeter, the question really arises how to use it all the same?
  • Multimeter: Needed to check circuit resistance. Connect one wire of the tester to the phase, the other to zero (then to ground). If the scoreboard is zero, then the wiring is normal, if there is any value, the contacts are in contact. They also check the battery charge.
  • Battery Check:  For this, not only a multimeter but also a load fork are used. To do this, check the resistance of the circuit. Connect one wire of the tester to the phase, the other to zero (then to ground). If the scoreboard is zero, then the wiring is normal, if there is any value, the contacts are in contact.
  • Motionless copio: Used to adjust the intensity of the dipped headlights.

Each tool has its own characteristics and before you start working with it, you must read the rules of operation with it.
