Equipment packages. A way to save money and increase security

When introducing a new model to the market, manufacturers offer this car in a variety of modifications and equipment options. Equipment packages are also an option for buyers through which they can save a lot of money.

This provision applies in particular to the modernized Skoda Superb, which has recently appeared on the Polish market. For this model, the manufacturer has prepared three equipment packages, offered in three equipment options.

The basic version of the Skoda Superb is the Active version, which includes such elements as: Climatronic dual-zone air conditioning, Radio Bolero with SmartLink + function and voice control, Basic LED headlights, remote control with emergency braking function (Front Assist), emergency braking system in case of detection pedestrians in front of the vehicle, or the collision avoidance system.

In the richer version of the Ambition, in addition to the above elements, the standard offer includes: Top Matrix LED headlights (instead of Led Basic), Auto Light Assist function, LED Top taillights with dynamic indicators, on-board computer with Maxi Dot color. display, power trunk lid.

In this version, the buyer can also choose the promotional package "Comfort". It includes: heated front seats, heated windshield washer jets, front and rear parking sensors with maneuvering assistance, 17-inch Stratos alloy wheels. The price of this package is PLN 900.

If the above items of equipment are selected separately, for example, front and rear parking sensors with maneuvering assistance cost PLN 1400, heated front seats another PLN 1100, and Stratos wheels PLN 1500.

The next equipped version of the Skoda Superb is the Style. In this case, the customer receives as standard, among other things, Keyless entry system (Kessy Full), auto-dimming exterior mirrors with memory function, electrically adjustable driver's seat (heated) with memory and electrically adjustable passenger seat (heated), front and rear parking sensors with Maneuver Assist, heated rear seat seats, rear side windows and a taller tinted trunk lid window.

The Comfort package for PLN 2900, addressed to the Style version, additionally includes: Amundsen navigation system with 8-inch display and map of Europe and voice control, Sound System Canton (12 speakers, 610 W power), rear view camera, automatic three-zone air conditioning Climatronic .

A single set of these elements is much more expensive. For example, an Amundsen navigation system costs PLN 2350, a Canton sound system costs PLN 2400, and a rearview camera costs PLN 1600.

The third of the promotional packages offered for the Skoda Superb is Comfort, designed for the Laurin & Klement version. This is the most exclusive version of the Superb model. The buyer of such a car receives as standard, among other things: the Columbus navigation system (DVD, two SD, USB, MP3 inputs, voice control, Wi-Fi, hard drive), DCC adaptive suspension with Driving Mode Select function with personalization (three keys) , Canton Sound System, automatic three-zone Climatronic air conditioning, leather interior, as well as Lane Assist and Side Assist systems.

The Comfort package for the Laurin & Klement version for PLN 3300 includes: adaptive cruise control, active cruise control up to 210 km/h with speed limiter, progressive steering system, Travel Assiste traffic sign recognition and heating windshield.

How much do these items cost if purchased separately? For example, adaptive cruise control costs PLN 3100 and heated windshield costs PLN 1250.
