Paris: Belib adapts prices to electric motorcycles and scooters

The manager of the Parisian Belib charging network since late March, Total has just officially issued a new pricelist for charging electric motorcycles and scooters.

So far, the Belib charging network, in the hands of Izivia, a subsidiary of the EDF group, has been transferred to Total since 25 March. Change of ownership, which implies a revision of all current rates.

Charging for 15 minutes

Now, when the bill is paid in 15 minute increments, Belib displays different rates depending on the area in which the payment is being made. For an electric vehicle with a 3.7 or 7 kW charge limit, users will be billed € 0,90 for 15 minutes for the first 11 arrondissements of Paris versus € 0,55 for 15 minutes for the next 9 arrondissements.

Good news for electric scooter and motorcycle owners: Total doesn't differentiate between areas. Without a subscription, the price is set at 0.35 € / 15 minutes without a subscription. For subscribers (€ 7 including taxes per year), the amount is reduced to € 0.30 in 15 minutes. The latter will also be able to take advantage of the night package for 2.90 €.

The few electric motorcycles that support fast charging, such as the Harley-Davidson Livewire, will a priori be on the same scale as electric cars. Bélib's fast charge offer, dubbed "Boost +", costs 4.80 € / 15 minutes (4.4 € / 15 minutes for subscribers).

140 charging points for electric two-wheelers

Seeking real network growth, Total plans to create more than 2 additional charging points by year 000.

In addition to the 270 existing Bélib charging points, the operator plans to deploy 1 new 830 kW charging points as well as 7 new 170 kW charging points dedicated to two-wheeled electric vehicles.
