The Largus stove and its work in the Russian frosts

Not so long ago, a good friend of mine bought himself a Largus and decided specifically for me to hold, so to speak, a small winter test drive. We agreed with him the next day, early in the morning to go for a drive and compare which car is more comfortable in the cold, on Largus or on my Kalina?

The frosts are already pressing down on the capital, sometimes it reaches -30, and that morning it was -32 degrees. I got up in the morning, went out into the yard and the second time started my car, drove up to a friend and got into his Largus.

As he told me, he also did not start the first time, the engine has been running for about 15 minutes, but the cabin is still cool. A little later, the air slowly began to warm up, but the side windows did not want to thaw, they were completely covered with a thick layer of frost. So I had to take a scraper and fix the whole thing myself.
Five minutes later, the snow was scraped off the glass, the stove continued to work all this time, and when we started and drove several kilometers in urban conditions, it became clear that the heater could not cope with the Russian frosts and again the glass was covered with frost. I had to stop and scrape everything off again.
For comparison, I want to say that there have never been such problems on my Kalina, the interior warms up very quickly, the glass thaws independently from the operation of the stove and does not get frozen while driving. But with Largus I had to tinker a little in order to somehow insulate him.

A warm blanket was placed under the hood so that the engine would not cool down so quickly, the radiator grille was also closed so that the wind would not blow - this slightly improved the situation.
So all the statements of Avtovaz that Largus is adapted to the harsh Russian frosts are empty words. For this to become a reality, most owners will have to insulate the engine compartment themselves and close the radiator grill themselves, then, perhaps, it will be more or less comfortable.
