Heater Nissan Almera Classic

In winter, the fact that the Almera Classic stove does not work or does not heat well becomes an unpleasant surprise. What causes malfunctions, what measures are necessary to maintain the operating conditions of the heating system?

Reasons for a poorly working stove

The Nissan Almera Classic heating system may not heat due to the following factors:

  • Ventilate the heating circuit - often the problem manifests itself after replacing the coolant. Also, air can enter the circuit if the main cylinder block is damaged;
  • Hanging in the open position of the thermostat valve - the stove warms up well at low engine speeds, and when the car picks up speed, it does not keep the temperature;
  • A clogged radiator as a result of the use of antifreeze or low-quality antifreeze, as well as the ingress of foreign elements;
  • Outside, the radiator cooling screen is clogged due to ingress of dirt, leaves, etc.;
  • Clogged cabin filter as a result of untimely replacement;
  • Failure of the heater fan - this can occur as a result of wear of brushes, bearings or due to a burnt out electric motor;
  • Faulty damper directly on the stove radiator.

Maintenance, replacement of the motor of the stove Almera Classic

As we have already found out, the Almera Classic stove does not heat well for various reasons. Consider servicing or replacing the motor and fan, as the heater core is less likely to cause bad interior heat in the Almera Classic.

Remove oven fan

To get to the motor and fan:

  1. The glove compartment opens and is removed with a screwdriver. It is necessary to unhook the left and right latches by disconnecting the opening sensor;
  2. The plastic casing holding the counterpart of the glove compartment is disassembled. To do this, unscrew seven screws;
  3. After unscrewing the two fixing bolts, the support for closing the glove compartment is removed;
  4. Pull the plastic cover, under which the motor and fan are located, towards you. The cable block in the central part of the cover is pre-disconnected;
  5. Having gained access to the heating system fan, remove the water pipe and disconnect the block with cables from the electric motor of the Almera Classic stove;
  6. Having unscrewed the three fixing screws, remove the stove from the seat;
  7. Thoroughly clean the unoccupied space from dirt and dust.

Remove oven fan

A disassembled electric motor with a fan must be disassembled in order to assess its condition and determine the further course of action. The analysis is carried out in the following sequence:

  1. The fan is disconnected from the electric motor by unscrewing the fixing bolt;
  2. Two fixing screws are unscrewed, the motor is removed from the plastic casing;
  3. Almera Classic motor rotor removed;
  4. Brushes and pads are removed.

Depending on the condition of individual elements, a decision is made to replace or refuse service. This last option requires the removal of dirt and dust particles from all elements, as well as lithol lubrication of the bushings and holes in the engine covers. After that, the assembly is carried out in the reverse order. Before installing the glove box in place, it is recommended to check whether the stove is heating.

To make the stove work perfectly

The Almera Classic stove will heat well if:

  1. Periodically clean the external cooling rack. In this case, both radiators must be cleaned. To do this, you can use a vacuum cleaner or a jet of compressed air. If necessary, you will need to completely disassemble the radiator and rinse it with water.
  2. If you use a low-quality coolant, mud deposits form on the inner walls of the pipes. There are two options for removing them. The first involves the use of citric acid or special detergents. The second option allows you to clean up quickly. To do this, you need to swap the upper and lower radiator pipes, start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature. To exclude the formation of all kinds of deposits on the inner walls of the cooling circuit, it is recommended to replace the antifreeze (antifreeze) with an interval of six months.
  3. If the thermostat is defective, replace it immediately. Otherwise, you will overheat the power unit if the valve sticks in the closed position. If the thermostat valve is always open, the engine takes longer to warm up. Therefore, the Almera Classic oven will not heat up.
  4. The cabin filter must be changed periodically. The first sign of this is the flow of hot air from the stove in a weak jet, as a result of which the air in the cabin does not heat up.
  5. Do not allow the heating circuit to operate in ventilated rooms. To exclude air from the coolant, you will need to open the expansion tank and push the pipe between the tank and the radiator with your hands. If the result is unsuccessful, you need to turn on the Almera Classic power unit and wait for the operating temperature to be established.
  6. Check the condition of the shut-off valves or dampers directly on the heater core.

Conclusion

If the Almera Classic stove does not heat up, check the fan and motor of the heating complex. Then clean the radiator and cooling circuit. All this can be done independently.
