Front struts on the VAZ 2114: models and prices

Today there are many manufacturers who develop and produce suspension parts for VAZ 2114 cars. Of course, the most common are factory components produced by SAAZ. Of course, this is not the cheapest option, but the workmanship is quite high. To describe the whole point in more detail and talk about the cost of parts, below we will analyze everything separately.

SS20

I think there is no need to write about this company once again, since it has long established itself as an excellent manufacturer of suspension parts for VAZ cars. Compared to the factory options, there is, of course, more choice and you can choose absolutely any type for yourself: hard or soft, gas-filled or oil.

As for the quality, it is not always as smooth as the manufacturer can assure you. For example, I personally have not had any complaints about the racks for a couple of years of use, but there are considerable complaints about the supports and the bearing. The support frames have worn out literally in a year and now, when you turn the steering wheel from the side of the front wheels, you can hear rather unpleasant sounds: creaking and grinding.

In terms of prices, we can say the following: it could have been cheaper. For example, when a set of factory suspension for the front of a car could be bought for 6000 rubles, the same analogue from the SS20 then cost about 12 rubles, that is, twice as much.

Kayaba

Of course, there are many fans of this manufacturer, but here you can give the same analogy as with SAAZ. Just look at the cost of the parts:

• the price of the front struts is about 2000 rubles
• rear pillars also cost about 2000 rubles, but there are options for up to 3000 rubles.

As for quality, everything here is not constant, as in the factory SAAZ. Even after reading thousands of forum posts, you can find more negative reviews about Kayaba than about SAAZ. But comfort certainly takes its toll, here many owners note a more comfortable suspension, both in comfort mode and in “sport” mode.

ASOMI

Another domestic manufacturer that makes good suspension parts. High quality front struts can be bought on a VAZ 2114 at a price of 5500 rubles per set, which is certainly not so expensive compared to the price of the factory (SAAZ). But in terms of sensations, Asomi stands are much superior to their counterparts, even more expensive ones.

 

From personal experience I can say that I had to ride a car with Asomi suspension for several thousand km - the sensations are very pleasant, it works much softer when it hits a hole, but at the same time there is no roll during sharp turns at high speed.

As for the prices for other manufacturers of suspension for the VAZ 2114, we can say that of course there will be no special deviations. And a fairly high-quality kit can be assembled now for 10 rubles: springs, struts with supports and bearings.
