The first league of robots has become a fact!

The Polish Union of Tournament Robotics (PURT) is a new organization that brings together a rapidly growing and still relatively new field of robotics.

This year it organizes, among other things:

  • Tri-City Robot Tournament in Gdansk,
  • Opole Robot Festival in Opole,
  • ROBO ~ traffic in Rzeszow,
  • Cyberbot in Poznan,
  • Robotaticon in Warsaw,
  • Sumo Challenge in Lodz.

Goal PURT is to accelerate the development of tournament robotics in Poland, giving it a common direction and strengthening the cooperation of the largest competitions. Initiators Polish Tournament Union of Robotics members of hope PURT it will increase every year.

The first result of the agreement will be the unified regulations of the four most popular competitions: Freestyle, Line Follower, Micromouse and Minisumo.

This means that participants no longer have to worry that a technical solution that is acceptable at the Sumo Challenge, for example, will be banned at Robomaticon and vice versa.

There will also be a new classification of participants taking part in competitions who are members of PORT. In the future, it is planned to implement new competitions and invite more tournaments to the Union.

The initiative is developed with the active support of the Forbot portal, which is the most important environment that unites robotics enthusiasts. In turn, patronage over Polish Tournament Union of Robotics was donated to the Warsaw University of Technology Foundation.
