Peugeot 206 CC 1.6 HDi Mercury

With the 206 CC, Peugeot has brought convertibles and all the beauties they offer closer to a wider audience of fans of the wind in their hair. Despite its small size, the machine is still so useful that it will not hear its owner's inclinations over it. The front seats are not very comfortable to sit in, in fact they are quite cramped. Drivers who are in the golden mean in height (from 170 to 180 cm) have already had problems, while smaller ones have no problems in cramped conditions. So, if you're over 190 centimeters tall, you'll only have two options: either increase the wind in your head, or sacrifice a proper sitting position with a more smoothly adjusted seatback. When the roof is "stretched", the ceiling is a bit annoyingly close to the head.

But just like the beauty with which you need to be patient, so is the pleasure of driving. The CC 206's spaciousness isn't its main selling point, although it does have a spare bench in the back and even a small trunk that can hold two suitcases, for example, but it makes up for that with other things.

Peugeot generously rewards its driver on a winding road. The modern 1 liter diesel engine (6rd generation Common Rail) is just great and a great choice for this car. Possessing 109 HP and weighing just over 1 tons, the car accelerates with the right agility and accelerates to 2 km / h in 100 seconds. The 10 Nm of torque provides plenty of flexibility for this engine despite its relatively small displacement. At the same time, moderate consumption should not be overlooked, the lowest was recorded at 7 liters, and the maximum - 240 liters per XNUMX kilometers.

Thus, the CC boasts an average of 5 liters of diesel per 5 kilometers. But all this would be nothing if the chassis did not work so harmoniously. 100 is dynamic and playful as the driver craves adrenaline through their favorite corners. The pleasure is definitely complete when the weather allows it to be done with the roof down. The gust of wind is significant, but the hat on the head is completely within the normal range and is unobtrusive even at speeds above 206 km / h. At lower speeds and with unhurried city driving, everything becomes even more pleasant. It is then that Peugeot is ideally in touch with the pulse of the city center or the seaside promenade. Ideal for consumers regardless of age.

For a good 4 million tolar you will get a nice, to some extent even useful convertible, which will always amaze with driving performance and an excellent diesel engine. If that price is too high, there is another option: consider the base CC with a gasoline engine instead. Otherwise, buying a CC always leads to the heart, not the mind. For this money, we would get a fully equipped 6 SW or even a 206 with a diesel engine and a completely comfortable set of accessories.

evaluation

  • Despite its age, the small CC remains the best small convertible ever. If you know how to enjoy the wind in your hair and like to drive very slowly on a crowded waterfront, this is definitely a good choice. It also has a great engine!
