Peugeot Partner 2.0 HDi

Only the price hinders the idyllic relationship. Compared to a 1-liter gasoline engine, a car is 4 thousand tolar more expensive. To recoup that much on your investment in a better and more fuel efficient engine, you will have to drive many miles a year. However, pure mathematics should not play a key role in the choice, as driving a diesel engine is much more enjoyable as well.

Peugeot Partner has high air resistance due to its large front surface and not quite excellent aerodynamics. A diesel engine is almost always able to handle this force thanks to its large and evenly distributed torque. The engine feels best in the 2000 to 3700 rpm range. Power is felt from 1500 rpm, but it's dumber. It spins up to 4700 rpm, but it does not give anything particularly useful, except for noise.

The engine heater is also commendable as it is very short and intelligent, which means it can adapt to engine temperature.

Fuel consumption is interesting. Unlike most cars, it is the smallest when driving around town and largest when traveling on highways, where it can exceed 10 liters of diesel per hundred kilometers. The reason, of course, is again in the high air resistance, which at a speed of 160 km / h fully engages the entire 90th cavalry. Therefore, it is more rational to drive with the permitted 130 km / h, and the consumption will immediately drop to 8 l / 100 km. The noise generated by the swirling air around the van body will also be significantly reduced. To tackle high air resistance problems, this cute box features exceptional use of interior space.

The trunk will easily fit the luggage of a family that has taken the vacation for granted. The pleasant feeling of sitting a little higher is complemented by a high ceiling, under which basketball players should also be pleased. The only thing that causes little problems is the thin and non-ergonomic steering wheel, which shows that they saved a bit.

The Peugeot Partner is not a car with which the owner would like to achieve a breakthrough in the company of celebrities, but a car for intellectuals who know where to get the most value for their money and are ready to ignore any shortcomings here and there.

evaluation

  • A modern turbodiesel engine with common rail technology is the perfect choice for a Peugeot partner. The car itself, however, is the perfect compromise between a spacious family car and a city van.
