Peugeot Partner Tepee 1.6 BlueHDi 100 Active

Once upon a time, such cars were more like vans with seats than family cars, but development has brought its own, and by a number of criteria, such cars are not inferior to classic cars. In some places (this is also understandable in terms of price and size) there are differences. Plastics can be harder and some design details are more comfortable than family-friendly, but you have to (still) live with that if you're buying a machine like this. And how it will feel also depends on which version of the car you choose. Some time ago we tested Peugeot Partner's sister car, the Berlingo. With a more powerful diesel and a better set of equipment. The difference, of course, is noticeable, especially technically.

The BlueHDi-badged version of the 1,6-litre Stokon turbodiesel, especially when paired with the five-speed gearbox, isn't powerful enough for classic family use, especially when highway speeds and when the car is busier. . That's when the engine needs to be fired up, when the 120-horsepower version isn't needed yet, and the lack of a gear means the engine constantly gets into a rev range where it's not the most fuel efficient. If you are a more frugal variety, it can certainly be more frugal than its more powerful counterpart (this has also been shown in our norm circle), but also more thirsty (as shown in test consumption). And since the difference in price is as much as a thousand, choosing a more powerful engine is the best solution. More in this case is really more, especially if you then add a thousand for Allure equipment (you can't do it with a weaker engine) and you really get everything you need, including automatic air conditioning, rain sensor, touch screen. -sensitive infotainment control screen, three separate rear seats, parking sensors and a bunch of other accessories that make the car more civilian. It is true that it costs 22 and a half thousand - but still a thousand cheaper than the test Partner, who had almost the same equipment, but which has to be paid in installments (because with this engine, as already mentioned, there is no more choice rich set of equipment). As a result, the price can (look at the technical data) much lower. Much less than 20 pieces.

A partner cannot completely hide family ties. We have already mentioned the materials in the interior, the same applies (when talking about taller drivers) to the driving position, and in terms of soundproofing it is not exactly the best in the class. The driver can also be disturbed by a sloppy and loud gear lever (a five-speed gearbox is worse than a six-speed one). That the steering wheel is also an indirect variation, and that the chassis allows for significant body tilt (but is therefore quite comfortable) is also not surprising. Such things are just a place in such a car - and those who need a car that can easily take a family with luggage or instantly turn into a car that easily sweeps the wheels (or something more) know that nothing is free. And if they do it right, they get more for less. Yes, less can be more.

  • Such cars are not for everyone, but those who choose them know well why they need them. Choose only the correct version (120hp HDI with Allure).
