Piaggio Vespa Elettrica 70: price and features of the 125th electric car

Unveiled last November at EICMA, the 125th version of Piaggio's electric Vespa is now available at the brand's dealerships. Slightly more expensive than version 50, it allows a maximum speed of 70 km / h.

Just over a year after the launch of its first electric scooter, Piaggio is expanding its range with the 125 variation. Using the same technical basis as the Vespa Elettrica 45, approved for a 50cc engine and limited to 45 km / h. the Italian brand uses the same components both in the bicycle part and in the electric one. Thus, the motor (4 kW) and battery (4,2 kWh) remain identical.

In the end, it all depends on the gear ratio modification that allows the Piaggio electric scooter to reach speeds of up to 70 km / h in Power mode. In Eco mode, it remains limited to 45 km / h.

In terms of autonomy, the brand continues to announce up to 100 kilometers with charging. The value is identical to version 50, which will undoubtedly be lower in reality, especially if the Power mode is always on.

Moderate additional cost

If we were concerned about a sharp rise in prices, Piaggio remained sensible not to inflate the already high selling price. Compared to the version 50 sold for 6.390 euros excluding the bonus in France, access to the Vespa Elettrica 300 will cost only 70 euros more, or just 6.690 euros.
