Pininfarina E-voluzione: Italian designer switches to electric bike

Unveiled at Eurobike 2017, the E-voluzione is the first electric bike from Italian designer Pininfarina.

Created as a result of the collaboration between Pininfarina and Diavelo, a subsidiary of the Accel group, E-voluzione was featured at Eurobike. On the bike side, it sits on a carbon chassis and fork and uses a Shimano Alfine 8-speed derailleur and disc brakes.

Brose motor and Panasonic battery

On the electrical side, Pininfarina and its partner chose to equip the e-Voluzione with a 250W 90Nm Brose electric motor mounted in the crank arm and powered by a Panasonic 500Wh (36V – 13.6Ah) lithium-ion battery elegantly integrated into the system. Frame.

The assistance allows you to reach a maximum speed of up to 25 km / h, while the system offers start assistance without pressing the pedals at speeds up to 6 km / h.

Three options

While Pininfarina has yet to provide details on a launch date, we know that the e-Voluzione will be offered in three versions (Elegance, Hi-Tech and Dynamic) and that it will be assembled directly in Berlin, Germany.
