Pirelli launches winter tire for bicycles and e-bikes

Last spring, the deconfected French largely abandoned public transport for city travel in favor of cycling, and very often e-bicycles. But will this craze for the cold survive? We will see it. In any case, true lovers of the little queen will be happy this winter, because the Italian tire giant Pirelli has developed the first winter motorcycle tire.

Meet winter in complete safety

Pirelli's clever invention lies in the tread design. This includes diffuse plate grooves that provide full grip on the road, slippery due to snow, just like on a dry sidewalk.

Technically, the CYCL-e WT tire consists of two layers of a mixture: a tread in contact with bitumen and a puncture-resistant "base". The tread is designed to provide a safe ride on any type of road and for all motorcycles, even the most powerful. The base is 3 to 3,5 mm thick and provides effective protection from debris. The combination of these two layers adapts even to freezing temperatures and, thanks to the minimum warm-up time, ensures good grip on all urban roads in winter.
