Winners of the Warsaw competition “Robert Bosch Inventors Academy”

Tuesday, June 4 this year the final gala concert of the educational program for younger students Akademia Wynalazców im. Robert Bosch. During the ceremony, the results of the Warsaw Invention Competition were announced. On the podium stood the teams that prepared the prototypes of Pionoslady, Stand with a lamp and Cooling bottle. At the end of May this year. A jury consisting of representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology, student research clubs operating at the university, the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland and the Bosch company selected the winners of the Warsaw competition organized as part of the XNUMXth edition. "Academy of Inventors Robert Bosch". The results were announced on June 4 during the award ceremony in the building of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.

I place - a team of "Inventive freshmen" of secondary school No. 128 with integration departments named after. Marshal Jozef Pilsudski - for the invention "Pathfinder“, A practical drawer that slides vertically upwards. The project was prepared under the guidance of Ms. Ivona Boyarskaya.

second place - The team "Bookworms" from the Gymnasium No. 13 named after. Stanislav Stasic - for the invention "stand with lamp“Which allows you to do homework in different places, for example, on the couch or on the bus. This is a competition project of Anna Samulak's students.

third place - Team "Penguin", junior school No. 13. Stanislav Stasic - for the invention "Cooling bottle“Which, thanks to the materials used, not only lowers the temperature of the drink when cycling, but also prevents the growth of microorganisms. The prototype was prepared by younger students under the guidance of Anna Samulak.

Competitive projects were prepared in two stages. First, the students presented the concepts of the inventions, considering in particular what the invented device is for, how it will work, why it is innovative and what impact it has on the environment. In the next stage, 10 final teams from Warsaw schools received funding from Bosch to develop prototypes of inventions.

The jury evaluated the prepared projects in terms of the diligence and creativity of the solutions presented. A necessary condition for participation in the competition was participation in creative workshops organized in March and April by students of research circles operating at the Warsaw University of Technology.

During the final gala concert, each member of the team standing on the podium was presented with attractive prizes. For the first place, the winners received smartphones worth about PLN 1000 each. The main prize was chosen by elementary school students in the course of voting organized on the profile "Academy of Inventors Robert Bosch" on the. Second place went to an underwater sports camera. Team members who took third place received a portable mp3 player. Bosch also donated power tools to school labs as well as teacher mentors of the winning teams.

Gala participants had the opportunity to admire the ferrofluid show prepared by the students of the Physics Club, as well as the presentation of molecular cuisine.
