scratched windshield
On vehicles older than 10 years, windshield replacement should be mandatory.
Particles of various chemical compounds of various diameters and shapes float in the atmospheric air. While driving, they have a destructive effect on the windshield and significantly change the smoothness of its upper layer.
The “dry” friction of the wiper blades also contributes to local scratches on the surface, since, as a rule, a lot of sand containing grains of very hard quartz accumulates in the parking area of the rubber brushes. These scratch streaks make it difficult and sometimes impossible to see the road and the roadside when driving at night or when the sun is low on the horizon.
If, in addition, the glass is covered with stone chips, it must be replaced. Polishing the top layer of the windshield won't help.
