Why the car consumes too much oil and how to fix it

When the engine has too much clearance between the cylinders, its service life comes to an end.

Engine oil is one of the most important elements in the engine, in other words, oil is like blood for the human body and is the key to a long and full life of a car engine.

This fluid is responsible for lubricating the parts inside the engine such as the crankshaft, connecting rods, valves, camshafts, rings and cylinders that are in constant motion and rubbing against each other.

He is responsible for creating a thin layer of oil that separates these parts. motor protection intensive and accelerated wear.

Why does the car eat oil?

Oil lubricates clearance between pistons and cylinder walls. Some of this oil enters the combustion chamber, where it burns. When the engine rotates at high speed, the amount of lubricating oil increases, so the amount of oil consumed increases. This process is divided into three phases:

  • input, the piston leaves a layer of oil that impregnates the cylinder.
  • compression, oil is supplied to the combustion chamber through the flame segments.
  • a fall, the walls are impregnated with oil, which burns together with the fuel from the exhaust.
  • If the engine is not burning oil, then no lubrication. Between engine parts there are gaps for oil access between metal parts.

When the engine has excessive clearance between the cylinders, its service life comes to an end.

Excessive clearance causes too much oil to rise into the combustion chamber, which burns out of the exhaust gases as blue smoke.
