Many drivers admit to temporarily losing control of their car due to driving boots or thick-soled shoes. Driving shoes should not restrict the movement of the ankle in any way, their soles should not be too thick, as this reduces the possibility of feeling the pressure transmitted to the pedals, or too slippery, because the foot may slip off the pedal - warn the driver.
