Steering column switch on a VAZ 2107 and its replacement
The steering column switch on VAZ cars of the classic family, including the VAZ 2107, is designed to turn on such electrical appliances as:
- low and high beam
- turns
- windscreen wipers and washers
The design of this switch is quite durable, but this part still needs to be changed from time to time. There is nothing complicated in this procedure, and even a beginner will be able to cope with these repairs on their own, it is enough just to have an 8-point head with a knob or ratchet on hand, as well as a small extension cord:
But before proceeding with this operation, you will first need to remove the steering wheel, as well as the steering column cover. After completing these steps, access to the switch becomes free and you can proceed to remove it. First of all, we disconnect the wiring block:
Then we take the key and unscrew the bolt with which this part is attached. This is shown more clearly in the photo below:

After that, we take the switch from above and remove it from the steering shaft of the VAZ 2107:
The final result of the work done is shown in the photo below:
The cost of this spare part is not so great and for 300 rubles you can find it for sure, if not in a store, then at auto dismantling for sure. The replacement is carried out in the reverse order and no problems should arise.
